Ken Elliott – Native American Tribes, Montana

Repair Our World.

Tikkun Olam is focused on ‘Repairing the World’ starting in Wolf Point, Montana on the Ft Peck Indian Reservation. We believe that changing the world starts with our children today and that our generation is capable of helping the next generation- now. By supporting our teachers on the Reservation and helping Native American families, we can make a difference in the lives of people who struggle to makes themselves apart of the American so many of us take for granted.

Tikkun Olam was inspired by Jana Elliott who worked tirelessly to teach and care for Native American children. In her memory we seek to bring highly motivated and deeply passionate teachers with a heart for children to the Reservation. Jana taught 6th grade at the local school and was blessed to work with kids and families that did not always have the same opportunities and resources most of us in the United States enjoy.

While Jana’s life was taken in a tragic car accident in 2016 her example of helping kids motivates us all to do more with what we have and appreciate the needs of others who struggle to get by each day. Our goal is to find those motivated individuals who, like Jana, want to make a difference, and bring them to northeastern Montana to start spreading their love and passion. Tikkun Olam is committed to helping individuals, teachers, and families who want to come help our children. We will support them with housing and provide resources to strengthen their mission to stand in the gap with kids who often have no one else to turn to.

We look forward to working with those who wish to Repair Our World here on the Reservation and promise that this experience will change their world forever.
